Peter Gowland from Hartlepower is a LARCH ambassador and explains how he came on board:

“My involvement in LARCH started when Hartlepower was approached by VONNE in 2019 to discuss the notion of fostering social enterprise in our area. We subsequently undertook research involving around.30 Hartlepool VCS groups to determine their knowledge of and appetite for social investment. This research helped contribute to the submission of the eventually successful Access funding application by VONNE.

“We then began with other local agencies putting together a group of people from across the sectors to drive forward the initiative locally and we remain as members of the management board and the Hartlepool Area Based Panel.”
